Sawadeeka! Krabi Family Trip

I was looking forward to planning a family trip together. When my lil’ brother mentioned that he wanted to get married, I was more than elated to receive a new member into the family and felt that the family was finally complete. As soon as his majlis was over, I started planning for all of us to go for a short trip somewhere nearby.

2015 Family Trip - Krabi

The last time when the husband and I went with his father to Krabi, we stayed at Ao Nang Princeville where the kitchen was a halal and the room was spacious for all 3 of us. This time round, we didn’t manage to secure that hotel, so we settled for Ao Nang Cliff Beach Resort. Most of the time I will always use Hotels.com as I could collect rewards nights. For every 10 nights, I will get a 1 night stay at any of my hotel choice. I was really happy with the hotel choice. I booked for the Deluxe Ocean View room for each couple and the room had a small jaccuzi @ the balcony. Room was spacious, air and wifi were good. But the only set back was that it was a non-halal kitchen for breakfast. But the beauty about the hotel location was that there are ample halal food eateries around. It was walking distance to the mosque on the left of the hotel and walking distance to the beach on the right of the hotel.

It was my parents’, brother and SIL’s first trip to Krabi and we were more than happy to bring them around. Dad loves his Tom Yam and he was having them extra spicy each time we eat.

Day 2
We planned for island hoping on Day 2. Initially we wanted to bring them to Maya Bay, James Bond island, etc. the famous islands but the last time we went there, the beach was full of people and there wasn’t even a spot for us to sit down to enjoy the sun, sand and sea or even take a decent photo. So we decided to take the Hong Island route and we really enjoyed ourselves. There was time for us to just sit back swim, snorkle and jus tan for a while @ the beaches.

By the time we went back to the hotel, we were quite tired but decided meet up for dinner. A friend recommended Chaba Thai Seafood Restaurant. It was right @ the end of Ao Nang street. Food was great and we came just in time for sunset!

Day 3
We had one more day and thank God they are the sporting kind. So we decided to try out water rafting! Part of the tour was tandem flying fox as well. Was so funny to see mum and dad doing it together. The whole tour was great coz we got to do flying fox, water rafting, fruit farm and fish spa! Hheheh I didn’t actually dare do the fish spa! Just look @ my brother’s face.

That night, we went around for the banana nutella prata and massage!
