The cousin and I decided to sign up for the Illumi Run a while back. Little did we know that it was gonna be more party then run! *lol* The music and sound was awesome. It was obviously a young crowd. Me and the cuzz really felt out of place at first, esp my cuzz, since she is wearing the hijab and there were people already drunk and rowdy even before the fun run started. But we saw other ladies in hijab also there for the run and basically have a lil’ fun. So it was quite a while before we actually ran. Supposedly it should be by 8pm but I guess they let people flag-off in batches. Soon after we started, we decided to just heck it and just walk the whole 5km. It gave us a chance to catch up with our lives and our plans and what-nots.

See, I didn’t have a close knit relationship with most of my cousin, prolly because my parents thought us to be independent and there was just way to much drama going around event when we were young but I somehow clicked with this particular cousin, Nana. So all was good there. At almost every kilometers, there was a DJ playing  at a make-shift tentage where you have official spray gun the neon lights to you and that explains the goggles provided.

The music was great, the after party was great as well but if it was 10 yrs ago, we would have really partied hard! *lol* Time flies and people change but that doesn’t mean we could not have some good clean fun. Till the next run cousin!
