Affected

I got a call from his wife @ 5 in the morning, crying & telling me that AH was no longer around… He was involved in a bike accident. I was already in tears. Told N about it but he just looked shocked and not wanting to believe it till he went down to see it for himself. We got ready and made out way down. The accident was a normal route that I’d take home. It was just after the tunnel opposite of Coronation Plaza. The wife was already there and just as we climbed up the railing, we saw AH lying motionless on the road with bits and pieces of flesh by the curb and blood around his body. That will be a sight I will never forget. He must have skidded, hit against the railings/ lamp post and landed on the road. The right side of his face was disfigured and torn open and his right eye out of his eye socket. Too much details… I know… but that is what I can recall. N was already in tears and having to break the news to Abah.

The thing that made him feel guilty was that it was exactly one week ago that he have his bike to AH and now the accident was with that bike. He was blaming himself that probably AH was still trying to get used to the bike and under-estimated it. It was coz of that that probably he got in an accident. We stayed till the undertakers took the body away. The wife & N went to look @ the body again. I couldn’t stomach it. We then went back and called the necessary ppl to settle the jenazah. We were told to collect the body by 8.30am. I did the necessary to message N’s friends accordingly.

Abah had no reaction when we picked him up to go to the morgue to identify the body. We were told we can’t take home the body yet as they need to do a post mortem on arwah. So we settled a few stuffs and took the body back @ abt 10.30. They managed to stitch arwah’s face up. By then we managed to get arwah’s iphone back and thank god N managed to log in with a guessed passcode. We were lucky that arwah did not log out of his FB and we managed to place up a post to inform his friends about it.

I was shocked to see that the block area were swarmed with his friends and was told that a few CID office screened some of them for fear of illegal gathering. I learnt that arwah was well liked by a lot and he was in a Skinhead band and that it was pretty known underground. Ppl from different bands, Bushmen, vespa cliques, etc. The people that followed to the cemetary was massive. Alhamdullilah jenazah dah selamat dikebumikan dat day after zohor.

N broke down a couple of times and still feeling guilty about everything. Just trying to be around and making him feel otherwise and try to take his mind off stuffs…
