A while back, just after passing my Class 3, I was stopped by a young malay LTA officer just after Brickland road. He was asking me to open the front boot (which I had to ask him to show me how to, being this was my 1st time), check the necessities and then asking me if my exhaust had a cert. So all was fine, no summons or any qualms about it. 1st experience.
Sigh! These past few days I have been a passing by a lot of TP and LTA bike while going and coming back from work. I was telling myself, one day sure kena stop again. True enough! So yesterday, just after I exited PIE going into Bukit Batok Road, I saw an officer at the junction waiting. When I look at my mirror, he was mounting on his bike and I knew that he was after me. So true enough, he came to the side and asked me to stop. This time it was an old Chinese guy. He took out an instrument and used it to measure the tinted window. Asked for my IC and license and that’s it. He said, you’ll be receiving a letter within 7 days and you need to change your window film.
I was smiling the whole time and took the opportunity to msg the husband, “I told you so! Kena stopped by LTA and you’ll be paying, not gonna help!” When I met him at the carpark, he still thought that I was messing with him. Tols him, up to him to believe it and just wait for the letter from LTA.
When he was changing the film at the workshop, I had already warned him against the tinted windows. I di warn him, if we got stopped by any TP/ LTA, I’m not gonna pay for anything. He pulled a long face throughout the night. Barely a few months in after getting my Class 3, I have to face all this. Haiyer! What luck…
