For those of you who are trying out Yoga for the first time or wanting to try a new yoga classes located in the North, you could try this company, YogaKula. It’s a start-up. Initially when Zanna asked me to tag along and try it out, I was a lil’ skeptical coz I’m so used to the instructors @ Yoga Movement. There’s 2 free trial class so what the heck, just try it out first. Location wise if i’m coming from home would be nearer but if I’m coming from work, it might be a lil’ off but once you know where it is, I think it should be fine. It’s just after Sembawang MRT at a chinese school called FIS. Go up the school and head to the swimming pool area.
Faith, the instructor and owner, really pushed us to try and do more. Seeing that I could bend and touch my toes with my chest on my legs, she pushed me to bend more but making sure that my spine is straight! Ouch! As for the pain, she says, it’ll only last 8 secs. Zanna literally counted the 8 secs. :p True enough, after 8sec, no more pain. So I guess it’s just a matter of trying. Since it’s a start-up andthe numbers in the class was small, I felt taken care off… :p She could point to us where we went wrong or what can be done to be improved. 🙂 Plus her friendliness opens up to us. It was my first Flow class. Fast paced I must say, but in a good way.
What attracted me to sign up a package was that there was a class just for arm balances for a yogi beginner like me – the Vinyasa classes. So I’ll definitely go for that. Plus they also have packages that you can share with your another person. Let say we sign up with a 30 class, it can be for 2 people, so probably you take 15 and your friend takes 15 class. Kids are also welcome, as long as they stay on their own mat. 🙂
If I am not wrong, the promotion is still on. Probably you could call to enquire.
Here a picture to end this post. Of all the people in the class and after umpteen classes, she’s the only one and still unable to touch her toes… :p
*She’s gonna kill me for this*
