Bleargh…

So over the weekend, I decided to go for an impromptu visit to the Chinese TCM that Dyan recommended. Turns out, it was the same TCM that a Chinese colleague from Haworth recommended a year ago. I’ve tried the western medications (jabs, clomid, etc) and malay traditional (sengkak), so what’s one more avenue of trying right.

Hooo-boy was I wrong to do a walk in. I arrived and registered at about 3.15pm and the I only managed to catch Dr. Su at about 5.30pm… It was warm, humid and to have a migraine plus a China mum (with pink-undies-sticking-out-each-time-she-bends) and her son (who-takes-off-his-shoes-every-5-mins-and-shouting-for-no-reason-every-other-minute) beside me, don’t go very well. I was mentally strangling those 2 (how-to-hv-a-kid-when-you-have-evil-thoughts-like-that). Yes I can be evil (don’t judge) like that!

So Dr. Su was a pleasant lady. She felt my pulse and told me that I had a cold womb. How she knows that from just a pulse amaze me. Anyhoots, she says she’ll fix my cycle frequency first and move on to the details after the 1st set of medication. I have SO MANY don’ts! Well not that many lah but major don’ts for me. These stuffs will so-called make my womb cold. Not conducive for conceiving.

  • No more cold drinks (nooooooooo!)
  • No more tea (any form of tea – hot tea, bubble tea, green tea)
  • No fruits that are cold for the body (Only longan, red dates, mangoes, durians, oranges, etc)
  • No salad

So that night after dinner, I took the medication. It came in sachets like these below and I have to mix with warm water. It reminded me so much of my late great-grandmum when she was boiling ubat periuk and the taste is also the same. Blearghh! Each sip I took, I’d down it with honey! No matter how hard I pinch my nose, it didn’t even help.

The things I put myself through! I’d have to take these twice a day. So I’d have to come back again once the meds finishes within the following week. Charges aren’t that bad. I paid less than $30 for this visit.

Here are the opening hours for Dr. Su. 1st timers, I would advise to come earlier to get your queue no. and then come back later for your appointment.

So…hopefully something happens.
