Retail Therapy in Jakarta/Bali (25 – 29 July 2007)

It was a much looked forward retail holiday that the 2 of us have been eagerly couning down to.For me it was meeting new friends as well in Jakarta but for Fah it was meeting up with ol’ friends. =) Left SG on 25 Jul 07 and off we headed for Jakarta 1st. Lugging our BIG Volcom bags, we arrived safely at the Jakarta airport and met up with Tete. She greeted us with her pink ride… =) Off we wet to Pondok Indah Shopping Mall for food @ Fish & Co & some shopping done. Arfah did her first damage @ Nouvo for her glitterly gold slip-ons.Nearly cried when I panicked, when I realised my wallet, that had crispy new Indo Rupiah notes, was missing…. Just as I was abt to pay for my sandals!! =( Was later found to be in the car… panick for nothing… so we cont’d with shopping and some french manicure. Headed home to Tete’s house for the night.

The next day wasmore shopping… We could have gone crazy there… Things were cheap!! Skinny jeans, baby doll tops, more tops, bags!!! If only we hadn’t have the Bali trip, I’d spend all my $$ there!! =p

We meet up with the rest of Arfah’s friends on the set of the Titans. They were making theor music video “Seandainya”! I met up with the band members as well as new Indo friends as well as Eton from KL! Tomtom, their drummer gave us his drumsticks as a souvenier… (nasib bukan stick lain)… hur hur hur… Took pictures… The Titans, the crew and the rest of the ladies were a very cool bunch to be around with… =)

We headed for Pondok Indah Mall again with the ladies where we met M’ba Lia after food… (one hell of a funny and cool lady to be with)… I couldn’t stop laffing when Tiwi tried to comprehend a joke… The joke kept her asking questions over and over again till we asked her to drop the subject. =p

Headed for food @ Kemang Food Fest! Fondue & hot choco with marshmellows was delish! The touting there was much more as compared to Beach Road! Once you sit down, the menus keep piling up and they’ll stand there till you pick up their menu & order! That night after sending Tiwi home, M’ba Lia & Mega slept over @ Tete’s as well… Kecohrable bunch!

Next day after our last min shopping, we headed for the airport to our next destination. We took a domestic flight. Friendly smiles and chats with the ground staff proved to be excellent! We we give priority boarding! We choose our seats among with 8 other passangers… then the rest started to board!

Was greated by Pak Made @ the airport and headed straight to the hotel! Bali was more shopping! Things were freaking cheap! Got ourselves some tops, dresses and specs! We touched the “Ular Suci” @ Tanah Lot!! eeekkksss… Bila balik, all 4 bags combined weight……. EEEKKKKSS!!! excess 30 kg!! Blardy expensive sia!! But the trip was worth it! I had my fair share of retail therapy, new friends made and also the comfot of being to enjoy it with the pardner! =)

Thank you Tete for your hospitality, letting us stay in your home… Kapan ker Sinagpura!! hehheheh Kangen sama Tete & the rest!! =)

Btw if anyone was a tour guide in Bali, I’d recommend Pak Made. He’s been around asisting us for reservations, bringing us around for te past umpteen times we’ve been to Bali. Let me know & I’ll hook you up… =)

  18. hahaha.. tini, next time da 2 of u check-in bags together.. so lesser damage on the excess bagage, apart frm dat jgn lupa senyum biar lebih dgn check-in staffs (kalau perlu flirt sikit pon ok!) .. ahaha..tu la my usual tactics wen travel.. Arghhh.. i miss CGK & DPS..best kannnnn!!! Kemang area.. mkn tak habis sey… winduuuu !!! 😛

  44. pak made tell u dat.. yala one of the days der.. waste one day lazing sick.he's been a great tourguide wen we were der..miss his hyper active twin boys..hehe wen will be back not exactly known coz major event cuming up daa… ^^,
